Timeline of Dragon tail-making

The tail took 3 plastic plates and about 4 hours to complete. How was it done?

Firstly, a sketch of the tail was drawn on an A4 size paper. Since the tail was larger than the paper, the remaining outline was drawn on the paper plate.

Next, the drawing on the paper plate starts. Since it was translucent, I could see the markings on the paper. This therefore made the drawing on the plate easier.

Then, we started cutting the plastic plates. The rim of the plate was cut out, giving us a flat surface. Then we cut along the lines, making sure to leave some extra space for the glue to connect the 3 cut plates (overlapping parts). After cutting all the plates and making sure they were overlapping, we found a part in the tail where there is no plate for it. We then found a suitable leftover plate from just now and used it as the missing part of the tail.

Next, we started gluing the plates together. We had to be precise as one mistake could make the tail out of shape. In the end, we finally completed the tail.

Now we had to attach the tail to a 500ml bottle, which is attached to 2 1.5L bottles. After a final touch up and adding some scales, the tail that connects with the body is finally done.
