Before starting out on the dragon sulpture, we first used a 3D printer in Ian's house to print out the rough design of the sculpture.
Design Techniques

For the body segment of the dragon, we create a 3 bottle segment that stacks horizontally to form the dragon's body.

For the scales of the dragon, we stack 3 cut spoons (as shown in the picture below).

For the whiskers on the dragon head, we stacked 3 cut forks (as shown in the picture below).

The tail consists of 3 cut plastic plates. We cut out the rim of the plate so there is a flat surface for the tail. We then outline the tail on the plates before using glue gun to stick the plates together.

The usage of water in the head is used as a cantilever. This means the water balances out the weight of the head so it can balance properly without falling.

The plastic wrappers found in the dragon's stomach is used to emphasize our message of plastic recycling.
